„Wie viel Mozart braucht der Mensch?“ Neben einer Vielzahl von Konzerten und Ausstellungen nutzte das diesjährige Würzburger Mozartfest, das älteste Mozartfest Deutschlands , mit dieser scheinbar einfachen Frage sein 100-jähriges Jubiläum, um auf die aktuelle Dimension der Mozartpflege aufmerksam zu machen. Vor dem Hintergrund der politischen und gesellschaftlichen Geringschätzung des Kulturbetriebes nicht erst seit der Corona-Pandemie wurde in sechs Vorträgen von prominenten Wissenschaftlern und Musikern über „Europas Musikerbe zwischen Werte- und Haushaltsdebatte“ diskutiert, die Anfang 2022 in Form einer Buchpublikation im Bärenreiter-Verlag erscheinen sollen hier.
